Term 2 of our Italian Level 4 course builds on the language studied on our Italian Level 3 course.

Classes run every Thursday Evening from 7.15pm to 9.00pm from 12th January 2023 for 10 weeks (excluding half term).

Summary

Our Level 4 Italian course is an intermediate plus level course. Learners joining this course will have completed the Italian Level 3 course with us or they will have previous recent experience of studying the Italian language, for three years. The course is fun and interactive. Although emphasis is on speaking and listening so that you will be able to communicate in every day contexts, you will build on your reading and writing skills in the Italian too.

There will be role-plays, activities based on common scenarios and you will study grammar, vocabulary over a number of topics as well as developing your pronunciation.

This course will take place over 10 weeks and is Term 2 of a 3 Term Course (term 3 will be offered later in the academic year). This means that the full Italian Level 4 course takes place over 30 weeks in total.

Payment

Once you have completed your application form to join the course, you will be contacted by a member of the Evening Class Team to make your payment via WorldPay with your debit or credit card. We will hold your place up to 7 days to allow you to make your payment.

Concessionary rates are available only to those who are full time students and those we are in receipt of unemployment benefits. Evidence of your status will be requested by a member of the Evening Class Team, before payment is taken.

You can pay for one term or save 5% by paying for terms 2 and three in advance (2 terms of 10 weeks).

The deadline for all payments and therefore bookings will be Tuesday 3rd January 2023 (unless the class is already fully booked at this point).

Our courses are popular and often oversubscribed so we advise you to book your place as soon as possible.

Outcomes

This upper intermediate level course will ask learners to process more complex authentic material and use a range of grammatical structures in both speaking and writing. By the end of this course you should be able to interact with a degree of fluency in familiar contexts, present clear detailed descriptions and express and explain a viewpoint. Your course will cover topics such as: · Revision and extension of topics in Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 · The use of the subjunctive mood · Developing all four skills with the focus on the comprehension and use of complex structures and increased spontaneity and fluency when speaking
